Frederick discusses his ancestry, family and religious background, and life in Sparta, Wisconsin. He details his education, including undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse, and the University of Iowa; his acting experience; his World War II service in England; and his 1946-1977 career at La Crosse, where he worked with Marie Park Toland. He also discusses his involvement in local government, including serving on the La Crosse County Board from 1956-1978.
